Rubber Metal Buffer

A bushing or rubber bushing could also be a kind of vibration isolator. It provides an interface between two parts, a typical application is in vehicle suspension systems, where a bushing made up of rubber (or, more often, rubber or polyurethane) separates the faces of two metal objects while allowing a specific amount of movement. This movement allows the suspension parts to maneuver freely, as an example, when traveling over an outsized bump, while minimizing transmission of noise and tiny vibrations through to the chassis of the vehicle. A rubber bushing also can be described as a flexible mounting or antivibration mounting
